RULES & REGULATIONS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
By registering for the Youth Grand Prix (YGP) Indonesia, you agree to the following rules and conditions. YGP Indonesia reserves the right to deduct points or disqualify any participant who fails to comply with the guidelines stated below.

HEALTH & SAFETY
The health and well-being of all participants remain our top priority. YGP Indonesia will comply with all current regulations and safety policies set by the Indonesian government and the venue hosting the event.

GENERAL INFORMATION
YGP Indonesia is open to all young dancers between the ages of 9 and 20, regardless of nationality.

A participant’s age for the entire YGP Indonesia season is determined as of January 1, 2026.

AGE DIVISIONS
● Senior Age Division: 15 - 20 years old (born between January 2, 2006 and January 1, 2011)
● Junior Age Division: 12 - 14 years old (born between January 2, 2011 and January 1, 2014)
● Pre-Competitive Age Division: 9-11 years old (born between January 2, 2014 and January 1, 2017)

● Ensemble Age Division: ○ The average age for an ensemble must be between 9 and 20 years old. ○ Professional dancers cannot participate as partner (Professional dancer: any dancer who is apprentice, trainee, part time or full time dancer with a professional dance company) ○ For Pas de Deux entries where the male dancer is 14 years old or younger, it is strongly encouraged that the piece be performed using "par terre" partnering only, with no lifting above the shoulder level

REFUND & CREDIT POLICY
YGP Indonesia follows a strict NO REFUND policy. Credits may be issued only for injury-related withdrawals and are only valid for future YGP Indonesia events (not applicable for other countries/regions). To request a credit, participants must submit an official letter from a certified specialist doctor. General practitioner (GP) or family doctor letters will not be accepted. The letter must be:
On the doctor’s official letterhead, Include an ink signature and doctor’s stamp, Sent directly to ygp.indonesia@gmail.com, Submitted no later than 2 weeks before the Masterclass start date.
If notice is given less than 2 weeks before the first Masterclass date, only 50% of the entry fee will be credited. Exceptions may be made in force majeure or emergency situations. A non-refundable administrative fee of IDR 1,500,000 will be deducted from all approved credits.

SELECTION FOR YAGP FINALS (NEW YORK)
Outstanding dancers from the Masterclasses may be invited to the YAGP Finals in New York at the discretion of the judges.
To participate in the Finals, Junior and Senior dancers must perform one classical variation and one contemporary solo.

DISCLAIMER
YGP Indonesia and the venue are not responsible for any personal injury, property loss, or damage during the event. YGP Indonesia reserves the right to: Reschedule, relocate, or extend the Masterclass Cancel any event due to insufficient registration, extreme weather, or unforeseen circumstances If a cancellation occurs and is not rescheduled, a refund or credit will be offered. If the event is rescheduled, no refunds will be given. Always check your registered email or our official website for updates.

MEDIA RELEASE
By registering, all participants and guardians agree to allow YGP Indonesia and its official representatives to use photos or videos taken during the event. These may be published on television, promotional materials, websites, social media, or other media platforms for marketing purposes. All media content captured by or on behalf of YGP Indonesia becomes the property of YGP Indonesia.

Time Limits
NEW CONTEMPORARY TIME LIMIT
Please be aware that the new recommended time limit for all Contemporary/Open Solos this season is a maximum of 2:00. This time limit was adopted based on requests from multiple YAGP judges over theyears, out of a desire to serve the best interests of all YAGP participants.
● Classical Variation: Maximum – 2:30 (Paquita Wedding variation can be up to 2:42)
● Ensembles:
○ Classical Pas de Deux: Maximum - 6:00 (Adagio or Adagio and Coda only)
○ Contemporary Pas de Deux: Maximum - 3:30
○ Duet/Trio (2-3 members): Maximum - 2:45
○ Ensemble (4 members): Maximum - 3:30
○ Ensemble (5+ members): Maximum - 5:00
**Participants are NOT permitted to purchase additional time. Any entry with music that exceeds the allotted time limit may result in point deduction or disqualification.
